The "magic dog poo tree"

 

Good haul this morning by the gang as we tackled the shrubbed and wooded walk as you head out of Brackley from the zip wire park.
15 purple bags and a pile of assorted items.
Plus 32 bags from the "magic 🐶💩 bag tree"!!
The little stream needed wellies to clear it and "the den" needs checking, so something for another day. We were unable to yank out the shopping trolley in the stream so we are seeing if our local council can help.

IT'S A MAMMOTH JOB....

 ... but we are taking it on! The lay-by as you enter Brackley from the Bicester side before the Evenley roundabout is by far the worst thing we have seen! So much litter, mounds of it. We barely touched the sides on our first attack. It was really hard core and is the reason why we need our lovely 400+ group members to look after the roads in Brackley so us weekly hard core members can do filthy areas like the layby we started today. We shall be plugging this A LOT over the next few weeks!   A43 layby heading into Brackley from Bicester 6 hard core Wombles and in 2 hours cleared 51 bags 127 tizer Lawnmower, baby rocker, baby seat, 2 tyres, 1 wheel, lots of bags of compost, suitcase, shoes galore, a flat screen TV and dvd player ( feel like I'm on the generation game) a pair of pants (hooray!) and other assorted items of grot. Needs lots of work, it's absolutely vile!   Sad thing is, there are no end of small animal runs and holes along there living amongst a thick carpe...

Mini Layby

  Brackley Litter Wombles attacking the A43 laybys! We started on the little laybys along the Brackley bypass today.   We laughingly thought we'd be able to do a couple! We started on the one nearest the BP roundabout... They are appalling!!   Today's haul was 36 bags, 69 tizer. Plus hangers, wire, tyres, a lovely pair of silver dance shoes, bags of earth??!!, roof tiles, a Henry Hoover and more. A real Generation Game of assorted detritus. Plenty more to do in just this one layby.   Thank you to Jackie, Trish, David , Gail and Dawn who took part in this full workout. We need to return!

HARD CORE THURSDAY

 After our great haul last week we are visiting the snack van layby this Thursday (12th September) to see what we can clear from there. There were 7 of us last week and we cleared our favourite one on the A43 heading into Brackley  It gave us... 30 bags 71 tizer Random items included... Brush dog bowl Kitchen worktops. Lots of Stolen trainers. Computer Keyboard. Suspicious liquid container. 2 pallets. 31 tyres!! Drinks bottle speed limit 40 mph Road sign Welly boot Chain saw 3 frying pans Griddle. Kitchen knife mugs Huge thank you to Jackie B, Isobel, Ian, Gail, Julia, Conrad and Trish who helped clear it. Still one zone there to do, so we'll return and finish it very soon.
